The first commercial vineyard to grow chardonnay grapes in Australia was right here in the Hunter Valley, planted in the 1970.
Aged in barrels for 4 months, this Chardonnay is one of very few white wines that are matured in oak barrels.
This beautifully crafted wine displays fruit characters like peach, apricot & other stone fruit. You may also detect some vanilla flavours, picked up from the barrel fermentation.
A great accompaniment to creamy dishes & pork and chicken.
